Meet the Scout
Nova is our forager and seasonal expert. With a background as a vegan and veggie chef, she’s the one hunting down the freshest local ingredients and foraged gems across the West Country and New Forest. Her plant-focused expertise and eye for detail ensure that every plate is vibrant, ethical, and bursting with seasonal flavour.
Meet the Hunter
Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, the "Hunter" brings that deep Aussie passion for flame-cooking and decades of worldly culinary experience to the table. This is where the theatre happens. We love the magic of live cooking—the crackling flames, the aromatic smoke drifting through the open air, and the satisfying click of the tongs as we work. Nova’s seasonal, scouted ingredients are the ultimate compliment to the Hunter’s fire-starting Aussie roots.

Beyond the food, we both share a no-nonsense, straight-talking, and easy approach. We keep things clear and simple, making the planning of your event a total pleasure rather than a chore. We specialise in bespoke culinary ideas that are always crowd-pleasing, effortlessly entertaining, and refreshingly detailed. Whether we’re the main feature or working in the background, we’re here to make sure your celebration is exactly what you want it to be.

At Scout & Hunter, we believe everyone deserves to enjoy incredible food at your celebration. We cater for all dietary requirements, preferences, intolerances, and allergens with the same care and creativity we bring to every dish. Whether your guests are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, or have specific religious or cultural dietary needs, we've got you covered. Every dish is clearly labelled, and we maintain detailed dietary matrices to ensure safe, worry-free service. No substitutions, no compromises—just great food that everyone can enjoy together.
Local Provenance
We're incredibly fortunate to be on the doorstep of the New Forest. 90% of our products are locally sourced, and we're proud to have been awarded the New Forest Marque. From New Forest Pastures butchers to award-winning cheeses, we champion local producers.
Slow & Low
Slow & Low smoking and flame-roasted cooking are at the heart of what we do. We cook over open flames using oak and apple wood alongside premium lumpwood charcoal.
Grills & Thrills
Live-fire BBQ cooking over glowing coals. From sizzling steaks to charred vegetables, we bring the energy and spectacle straight to your event. It's fast, flavourful, and full of theatre.
Our sides, salads, and trimmings are every bit as impressive as our mains. Locally sourced, lovingly prepared, and thoroughly contemporary.

Every menu we create is fully bespoke. From intimate gatherings to weddings for up to 200 guests, as well as corporate events, festivals, and sporting days—whatever the celebration, we'll deliver an unforgettable culinary experience.
